Daisy Ni is the Managing Editor at the Claremont Journal of Law and Public Policy, and a fourth-year student at Pomona College. She’s been a part of the Journal for eight semesters!
How/why did you get involved with the CJLPP?
I saw CJLPP’s application during my first year, and thought that it would be a cool opportunity to dive deeper into law and public policy as a potential PPE major. Actually got waitlisted for a bit… but submitted a digital content article in the fall that helped me get officially hired!
What have you recently been working on in the Journal? Anything specific you’d like to share?
As the Managing Editor, I’m responsible for overseeing the production of our print editions. Recently, I’ve been working with our staff writers and editors on refining pieces for Volume 8, Number 2, which is wrapping up; we’re now getting started on the process for Volume 8, Number 3! Each of our pieces go through at least three rounds of intensive edits, so know that the articles that you see are the product of months of dedication.
What else has been going on in your life that you might like to share?
I’m currently working on my thesis, applying for fellowships and jobs, and trying to figure out my post-grad plans. Ultimately hoping to continue pursuing my interests in law & public policy that the Journal helped jumpstart!
